Catholic weddings in Florence are very difficult as the local curia is quite strict and the regulations are not always very simple to comply. Tuscany Weddings collaborates with nice and friendly priests, happy to celebrate your wedding in Florence or nearby churches, but with some very important recommendations.

There are only a very few churches where is possible to celebrate Catholic weddings and many are booked with a year in advantace especially in Italian favourite weddings months such as May, June and September. Usually the curia and the priests give priority to Italian weddings, for this reason we do suggest an early confirmation of the date.

Churches have no "rental" fee. It is suggested (and required) to give a donation to the priest. We are happy to inform you the amount of the Catholic donation which is always different depending the church and the parish. The donation helps the church to sustain the costs of heating, lighting and the little small costs of everyday "life". The donation is a personal relationship between the priest and the marrying couple, for this reason we do not accept to "pay" the priests at your behalf, but we do prefer you to give the amount when meeting the priest the day before the ceremony.
